This FileMaker Pro 3.0
file is where you document what motivated a registration, membership
or donation decision (friend, relative, member, magazine ad,
newsletter ad, direct mail, telephone call, radio program, TV
program, etc.) and the cost of each motivation method. Scripts
summarize the results over all records and present them as raw counts
and as relative performance (counts/dollar).
By measuring your results, you can stop guessing where and how to
invest your meager budget. Put 80% where you get your best results
and explore better methods with the other 20%.
Duplicating the scripts and modifying them for each permutation and
combination is a tedious clerical job. I'm in a time crunch, so I've
done only the minimum necessary for you to get a feel for what is
possible with this file. After I get some feedback and have the time,
I'll complete this file.
Seven of the nineteen dummy records are simulated here. Click on the
top buttons and the index cards on the upper left to get a sense of
the navigation.
