MORALITY |
|---|---|
It's immoral to force nonviolent people behave in ways deemed correct by self-righteous lobbyists, arrogant politicians and blundering bureaucrats. It's immoral to force one person to subsidize the rescue or medical care of another. |

PRACTICALITY |
It's much less expensive to educate people about the hazards of life and allow them to make their own choices at their own risk than to employ police to protect them from themselves and jails to incarcerate them for being stupid. Personal experience is normally the best teacher. Until a child experiences hot, pleas not to touch a hot stove are meaningless, and are obeyed only to avoid loss of love. When the love object is no longer present or needed, the child will touch the stove. Don't just say no, show why. If people repeatedly engage in risky behavior, fail to educate or otherwise endanger their children, then nature should be allowed to take its course. See "Let Predators Do Their Job" in the LTE/Articles database. See also the movie "Idiocracy". |
