Issue a press releases to the media and schools on the availability of local libertarian speakers, listing their names and telephone numbers. The media release is an announcement to any organization that libertarians are willing to speak to a meeting of their members. The school release should suggest that civics teachers and the like invite local representatives from all the parties to speak to their classes to help get students excited about and involved in civics rather that just read about it.

Speakers don't need a prepared speech. They need only introduce basic libertarian principles, then open for questions. That gets the audience involved and focuses your responses on that which is of interest to your audience. If you are familiar with libertarian principles and remain calm, you can devise good responses for any question.

EXAMPLE

An example introduction [with extensions]:

The fundamental principle of libertarians is no initiation of force on the property of others, but force used in defense of property is justified. We own ourselves, so our bodies are included in the foregoing as property, and our principle is effectively a restatement of the right to life, liberty and property. People should be free to do with their property as they please as long as their property does not hinder the equal right of others to do with their property as they please, and any damage their property does to that of another is fully compensated.

[It is immoral to impose what must or prohibit what can be ingested, inhaled, injected or absorbed by people unless such imposition or prohibition is knowingly, willingly and voluntarily contracted. Everything produced by your property, including your waste, genetic material, topsoil, the sound from your speakers and the defecation of your cat is your property and responsibility until it is voluntarily accepted as the responsibility of another. Else it is a trespass.]

[The mere possession of anything is not illegal. An automobile or meth lab may emit noxious gases, but as long as they do not trespass on the property of others, there is no crime. That they represent a risk to adjacent property is a loss-of-property-value issue that can be resolved through arbitration or the courts. The private road owner may have to increase the fees charged to users to periodically compensate adjacent property others for noise and chemical pollution. The meth lab owner will likely move to a remote location to avoid the insurance costs required to compensate for potential damages from an explosion.]

Government is the authorized use of force. It must be limited to the protection of property. All other government functions must be privitized or discarded. [Commercialization and competition disperse power to individuals who can instantly choose among alternatives with their dollars rather than vote and get stuck with the choice of others from a limited selection of candidates for two or more years. It is better to let consumers (You) decide what is needed and let an unregulated market respond quickly and efficiently to those needs than to rely on self-anointed caretakers and distant bureaucrats with nothing at risk.]

[Laws which enable plunder may be legal, but they are unlawful under the U.S. Constitution and are fundamentally immoral. All such laws must be purged. There is nothing government can do for one person, group or business without imposing force on another individual, group or business.]

Although we prefer government to be funded with contract enforcement fees or lotteries, most libertarians will tolerate taxes if used exclusively for the protection of domestic property (local police and fire agencies, judiciary and national defense) and international trade (piracy).
